The Best City in the World Last year we knocked out LA for the Olympics, this year our guy knocked out the Senator from New York in the presidential race. We're on a roll. So much has changed in the media business, whether it's out-of-town ownership, bankruptcies or go-to-Zell redesigns, but one thing is still true: Newcity remains locally owned and Best of Chicago remains a defining take on the city we call home. But without you, we're nothing. So please take a few minutes and share your expertise with us. We'll tabulate the results, add our two cents, throw in a few extra categories of our own, and put forth Newcity's biggest edition of the year on November 13. Here's how to participate. You don't need to vote in every category, but you must vote in at least ten categories for your ballot to count. Only one entry per reader; suspected ballot-stuffers will be disqualified. Votes may be cast through midnight, Friday, November 7. Some of the questions are essay questions. Make sure you allow yourself enough time, if you have a lot to say.
